The new standard places clearer requirements on energy efficiency, waterproof rating, and salt spray corrosion resistance for all newly produced aerators. The standard focuses on three key areas: operational safety, comprehensive energy efficiency, and seawater corrosion prevention. Traditional asynchronous motors typically offer IP54–IP55 protection levels, which are insufficient for long‑term harsh brackish or seawater environments. In contrast, IP68‑rated permanent magnet motors can run stably under soaking and high‑humidity conditions, more than doubling the service life of the overall equipment. In addition, the updated specifications raise the minimum energy efficiency threshold for aquatic aeration motors, effectively phasing out low‑efficiency units from formal market access.
Following the standard’s implementation, provincial fishery product quality supervision authorities conduct spot inspections on aerator manufacturers. Products must pass salt spray aging tests and full‑load efficiency checks before factory delivery. Many domestic equipment factories are accelerating technical upgrades, such as using 304 stainless steel for frames and floats, and developing customized anti‑corrosion permanent magnet stators and rotors. Industry insiders expect this will accelerate the elimination of backward production capacity and push Chinese aerator manufacturing toward a more efficient, eco‑friendly, and intelligent path.
